Skin · Acne Scars
Acne scars are among the most challenging skin concerns to treat — but with the right combination of advanced procedures, significant improvement is absolutely achievable. Dr. Megha Sharma specialises in multi-modality scar treatment protocols for all scar types.
About This Treatment
Acne scars form when the skin's collagen is damaged during deep acne lesions. Different scar types require different treatments: ice pick scars respond to TCA Cross; boxcar and rolling scars to Fractional CO2 and Microneedling with PRP; tethered scars to Subcision. At MS Skin Clinic, we assess your specific scar types and design a combination protocol targeting each one individually for maximum improvement.
How It Works
FAQs
The best treatment depends entirely on your scar type. Ice pick scars → TCA Cross. Rolling/boxcar scars → Fractional CO2 or MNRF. Tethered scars → Subcision. Most patients benefit from a combination of 2–3 treatments. Dr. Megha Sharma maps your scars individually and designs the right protocol.
Typically 4–8 sessions over 3–6 months, depending on scar severity. Significant improvement is usually visible after 3–4 sessions.
Complete 100% removal is rare, but significant improvement of 60–90% is very achievable with advanced combination treatment. Most patients are very satisfied with the results.
Numbing cream is applied before all procedures, making them comfortable. Fractional CO2 may have 1–2 days of heat and redness after the session.
Collagen remodelling is gradual. Initial improvement is visible within 4–6 weeks of each session, with full results at 3–6 months as new collagen continues to form.
